Description

N-Methylpyrrolidone (NMP) is a colorless, transparent, high-boiling point oily liquid with a slight ammonia-like odor. It is an important polar aprotic solvent, with stable chemical properties, no decomposition under normal storage and transportation conditions, and meets international export quality standards. It has good solubility and compatibility, is slightly irritating and flammable, and must be packaged and transported in strict accordance with dangerous goods specifications.

Uses

Chemical field: Used as a high-performance organic solvent for polymers, resins, paints and coatings, and as an intermediate for the synthesis of pharmaceuticals, pesticides and dyes.
Electronic field: Used in lithium battery electrolyte, semiconductor cleaning agent and electronic component processing.
Other fields: Used in extraction and separation, textile printing and dyeing, and widely applied in international export trade.

Safety,Security&Risk

Chemical Hazards:
When heated and burned, it decomposes to form toxic fumes containing nitrogen oxides. It reacts violently with strong acids and strong bases. It corrodes copper and its alloys.
